On October 16th, I'll be playing in a golf marathon and helping my friend, Jahsh Barela from the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). We’re raising funds for Jahsh so he can continue the outstanding work that FCA is doing in our local schools and community.

Through sports, FCA reaches out to junior high and high school students and coaches with a focus on equipping and empowering them to become real role models in their communities to make a difference in this fatherless world of ours. They do this by using biblical principles and spreading the love of Jesus Christ. I'm happy to report that it's working! 

I'll be coming home with a stiff back and some new blisters, that’s guaranteed as I’ll be playing as many holes as I can and hopefully reach my goal of 100. However, that relatively minor stiffness and blistering is nothing compared to the hard work and sacrifice that Jahsh and FCA make every day. Jahsh relies 100% on donations to reach his budget and salary. This is a major fundraiser for him and it’s vital to the success of the ministry
